Fall is the Perfect Season for Roasts

Posted by

fall has officially arrived, my friends! for me, that means that it is time to cook, and bake, and fry and roast. seriously, fall and winter are my favorite times to cook. i mean, sure, the weather is cooler and i don’t have to stress about heating up my house with the oven on, but honestly, it isn’t just that.

it is partially that, yes, but it is also because the holidays are coming, the kids are gone during the day, there is just so much about the season that makes me want to cook! plus, the vegetables that are in season all taste amazing roasted.

i don’t know about you, but i love roasted squash, potatoes, carrots, cabbage, and peppers okay let’s face it, i really could go on and on. these are my favorites. how about you?

lucky for us, there is basically no better way to roast vegetables than with a Superstone® Bread Dome or the Sicilian Pizza Stone!

Seriously, you don’t know how great your roasted recipe can taste until you have prepped it in the best roaster on the market. so so good. there is just something about stoneware roasting that makes the food taste so much better than in other bakeware. since i began doing my baking in stoneware, i have never looked back.

these are my favorite roasters to use and a little further down i will share with you some of my favorite roasting recipes:

These are both my very favorite stoneware pieces to use for roasting vegetables. one more thing too, in case you didn’t know it, previously roasted vegetables are great for stew! stew is always a hit at my house during the fall and winter months.

to roast the best vegetables you have ever had, just follow these simple instructions:

directions for the best roasted vegetables

  1. preheat the oven to 425°f (220°c). combine all of the vegetable ingredients in a large mixing bowl and toss them with your choice of oil (i always go with olive oil here) to coat.
  2. place the vegetables onto the superstone® sicilian pizza stone, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  3. one of my favorite things about roasted vegetables is that they can be served fresh out of the oven, or at room temperature, which means that they can be made the day before and enjoyed just the same. perfect for meal prepping!
