Classic Beef Stew
The Bread Dome lends itself beautifully to this recipe for a classic, hearty beef stew. The stoneware
material holds in moisture while preventing over-cooking.
1 tablespoon flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 teaspoon crushed black pepper2 pounds beef stew cubes
1 (32 ounces) can tomato juice or V-8 cocktail
1 beef bouillon cube
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 onion, sliced
1 stalk celery, sliced
1/4 teaspoon oregano
4 carrots, sliced
5 medium potatoes, cubed
Preheat oven to 250° F.
In the bottom of the Bread Dome, blend salt and pepper, flour, oregano, and one crushed
beef bouillon cube. Stir in tomato juice. Add garlic, onion, celery, oregano, carrots, and potatoes.
Cover and bake for about 4 hours.
