Make Gingerbread Cookies & Cakes with Sassafras® Silicone Molds

Posted

Gingerbread cookies really make the holiday season: what would Christmastime be without them? Well there's another holiday treat people rarely talk about-- gingerbread cakes! Mini cakes, sliced up and served with a tall glass of milk or a cup of hot chocolate are a perfect addition to the cold winter season.

Mini Cake Recipes

We've already offered up some recipes for holiday cookies, so here are a couple of recipes for cakes:

Pardon My Crumbs has a great Gingerbread Man Mini Cake recipe with frosting that the kids are gonna love!

ThriftyJinxy has a Gingerbread Fudge Recipe that doesn't even require you to use the oven-- just a handful of ingredients mixed together and refrigerated overnight. That means the kids probably help with this one!

Creative Homemaking has a Candy Cane Bark recipe that is so simple, you simply must try it!

Sassafras® Silicone Cake Molds

Don't have any cake molds? Sassafras® has you covered! Our Boy & Girl Gingerbread Silicone Mold Set, our 4pc Holiday Cake Mold Set and our Holiday Tree Silicone Cake Mold Set are all on sale, so there's no excuse to get started!

Not only is silicone fun, but it's oven and freezer safe, durable for many many times over if you keep them clean.

According to FindMyAnswer, "When your cake is cool, you just flip the pan over and peel it away from your cake. You can do this peeling away because silicone is flexible and it bends easily. If you've coated the pan or mold with cooking spray, none of the cake should remain inside the pan once you've bent it fully inside out."

And be sure to pick up some Sassafras Silicone Molds and other Silicone Baking Tools on our clearance page while they last!
