Memorial Day Crafts for the Entire Family

It's hard to believe that next month is Memorial Day! It's a great holiday to celebrate yet it's easily overlooked on the true meaning of the holiday itself. Many just are excited for a day off! While it's nice to get holidays off, what about celebrating the day in honor of it?
Memorial Day- is a federal holiday in the United States for remembering the people who died while serving in the country's armed forces. (Wikipedia)
Here is a list of some great crafts you and your family can do together to remember and honor all of the people who died for our country.
Straw Fireworks- All you need is white paper, 3 straws, red, white, and blue tempura paint. For full details on how to put this craft together, click here.

Popsicle Stick American Flag-All you need is red, white and blue paint, popsicle sticks, painters tape, rhinestones, glue, cardstock, and ribbon. For full details, click here.
Tin Can Luminaries-This one looks like fun! Would love to try this with my girls. What you need:
- Empty vegetable or soup cans, cleaned out and labels removed
- Water
- Sand
- Nail
- Hammer
- Scrap paper
- Ruler
- Tape
- Spray paint in red, white, and blue
