Let's Grill Some Pizza

Yes, my friends, Spring is here! Although many of us are home right now, we can still take the time to enjoy the season! For me, spring means sunshine, gardening and being outside. Finally! Another thing that Spring means for me is lots of lots of grilling. Seriously, once the weather gets nice enough to grill outside we make most of our meals on our traeger. Some of our favorite grilled meals are chicken legs, BBQ thighs, burgers, hot dogs, ribs and PIZZA. Yes, pizza. If you have never eaten a grilled pizza before, you are missing out, my friends!

You can grill a pizza on just about any grill. We currently use our Traeger grill, but we have also grilled pizzas in our Acorn grill, and in our old cheap gas grill. They all turned out great (although, I admit that the charcoal grill is my fave for pizza). Sounds great, right? So, let’s grill some pizza!

Let’s Grill Some Pizza

While my son likes pepperoni pizza and only pepperoni pizza, the rest of us really like to try out new pizza recipes often. I also really like to base my pizza choices on the seasons. That may seem silly, but I’m telling you the different types of pizzas that you can make during the spring, summer, fall and winter can be wildly different and oh so delicious! A while back, I found myself checking out this Food and Wine post that focused on 7 of the best spring pizzas and I am ready to try out just about every one of them. Some of them look like quite a bit of work, but some of them look easy and delicious.

These ones look especially good though:

Pizza with Swiss Chard and Bacon - Who doesn’t love a good bacon topped pizza? I am a big believer that you just can’t go wrong with bacon!

Sun Dried Tomato and Arugula - Sun dried tomatoes are just about the most spring-like pizza topping that you can find. It just adds a freshness to pizza that tastes amazing.

Regardless of if you choose to make one of these tasty looking spring pizzas, or just your everyday favorite pepperoni, meat lovers, hawaiian, or whatever your favorite pizza may be (check out these classic pizza recipes), be sure to plan out your crust first. Both the basic crust and deep dish are perfect for grilling.

The key to making the perfect pizza is using the perfect tools. You probably already knew this, but you are in the right place for the perfect pizza tools. Here are some of the best pizza tools that we have here to help you grill the best ever pizza!

Here are some of my favorites:
