Easy Homemade Valentine's Day Treats

Posted by

Valentine's Day is Sunday!  It's a fun day to celebrate the ones you love as cards and candy are just fun ways to express and celebrate the day.

If you are all about DIY crafts then most likely you are interested in baking and making your very own Valentine's Day sweet treats.  Here are some easy and homemade Valentine's Day treat ideas you and your kiddies can make together right in the kitchen:

Chocolate Covered Pretzels with Sprinkles- This treat is so easy to make yet it looks like something you would buy right out of the bakery.  Just melt down a bag of your favorite chocolate chips.  Dip pretzel sticks halfway and sprinkle Valentine's Day colored sprinkles all over.  Let set on wax paper and presto!  The perfect treat.

Marshmallow Hearts- Here is another quick and easy treat.  If you have a tiny heart cookie cutter you can use this to cut out perfect hearts from large marshmallows whether they are flavored or original.  Dip them fully into a melted sweet treat of your choice like chocolate, vanilla, etc.  You can also roll them in sprinkles or even just coat with powdered sugar when treats are dry.

Layered Jello Cups-Do you love Jello? All you need for this Valentine's Day treat is 3 to 4 red and pink Jello flavors such as strawberry, raspberry, watermelon, etc.  Layer them according to directions on the box and serve with whipped cream right on top! Top it with a fresh strawberry for a festive look.

Fruit Kabobs-For a healthier option, slice up strawberries, bananas, and even brown bites and layer onto a skewer.  Drizzle with chocolate.  It looks like it took hours when really only just a few minutes to make up a batch.  It's a fun recipe to make and tastes delicious too.
