Old-Fashioned Classic Pound Cake

This pound cake recipe works best with the Superstone® Covered Baker and requires an electric mixer.



2 ¼ cups of salted butter, room temperature
2 ¼ cups of granulated sugar
10 large eggs
3 ¾ cups of all-purpose flour


Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat your Superstone® Covered Baker generously with nonstick spray, then set it aside.

With your electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, mix the butter and sugar together for 2 minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing until combined, scrape the sides with needed.

With your mixer on a low setting, slowly add in the flour, combining with the mixture, again scraping the sides so that everything combines evenly.

Spread the batter into the coated pie baker, bake for 70 to 80 minutes, or until an inserted knife comes out clean. Tent with foil to avoid too much browning on the top.

Let the cake cool in the oven for 20 minutes or so, then place on a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve with ice cream, icing, or whipped cream and fruit. Enjoy!
