Cute and Clever Breakfast Recipes for Kids

Posted by

Want to include your child in the kitchen more, especially for the Christmas season?  Through the years my kiddies have loved the themed recipe ideas from local restaurants.  What about making your own? We already have our ideas in place when school is out for break.

Santa Pancakes-This is super cute, but easy and fun. In fact, these turn out so cute you may want to take some pictures before they actually eat it. All you need to do is whip up your favorite pancake recipe. Add banana slices to make a beard, raspberries and whip cream for the Santa hat, and grape slices for the eyes, etc. Get as creative as you wish with this one. There is no right or wrong way!

Penguin Oatmeal-If you have a child that is picky about their oatmeal, they may change their mind. All you need is to plate your favorite oatmeal. Place two blueberries for eyes and an orange slice for the mouth. Then outline the body outward with the remaining blueberries resembling a penguin body. Add two more orange slices for the feet. For a festive look add for mini marshmallows on the top, then a strawberry, then one mini marshmallow on top of that.
