Christmas is almost upon us.  Are you ready to have a baking frenzy in your kitchen with the kiddies?  It's my favorite time of year to bake.  Whether you are baking for a cookie exchange, Christmas party, or family gathering, here are some Christmas cookie favorites this season:

  1. Red Velvet Santa Hats-These are cute and easy to make. You can purchase already make sugar cookie dough and roll out and shape with a santa hat cookie cutter, or even make your own sugar cookie version with traditional cookie cutters.
  2. Hot Cocoa Cookies-I love these as they are unique yet look delicious and will be the hit of the party. They are very simple to make.  Visit Glorious Treats for picture images and ingredients.
  3. Whoville Cookies-These are a fun twist on the classic "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." They are easier than they sound and appear.  Just ask Midget Momma!
  4. Candy Cane Kiss Cookies-This Christmas cookie recipe is Christmas in a cookie all jumbled together.  You can't get any more festive than this recipe idea. Visit Sally's Baking Addiction for details.
  5. Thumbprint Snowman Cookies-These are definitely a cute idea.  If you are missing the snow the season, these will boost your spirits. Katrina's Kitchen does a great job showing us how to create this yummy treat.
