15 Rainy Day Activity Ideas

April showers brings May flowers.  With that said, rain showers can tend to dominate any outdoor plans you are trying to put together.  Don't let the rain bring you down.  There are plenty of rainy day activities you and your family can do together.

Here is a fun list to get your creative juices flowing.  Keep in mind, you can come up with your very own ideas as well. The possibilities are endless when it comes to rainy day fun.

1. Build a fort
2. Go to the library
3. Family board games
4. Play cards
5. Make puppets and do an indoor puppet show
6. Bake cookies
7. Have an indoor picnic
8. Have an indoor treasure hunt
9. Make play dough
10. Do face painting
11. Indoor camping
12. Make a picture book
13. Have a family movie night with fun movie snacks like popcorn, etc.
14. Put a jigsaw puzzle together
