Homemade Secret Santa Gift Ideas for your Next Holiday Gathering

Posted by

Remember playing secret Santa in your school or work Christmas gift exchanges?  This can be a cheap and fun activity for friends and family. Whether it's a $1 gift to $5 gift, you certainly don't need to break the bank for this kind of festive fun. What about if you make your very own? Here are some cute ideas to get you going on your way to your next secret Santa party.

Santa Jar filled with Christmas candy. Just purchase a Mason jar and fill with Christmas candy favorites. Decorate with a black ribbon around the middle and a buckle.  You can use silver glitter for the buckle to make it easy. Decorate the lid with white feather like ribbon resembling the white material on Santa's hat. You could also use white cotton. Print a Merry Christmas message to glue to very top of the lid and presto! The perfect secret Santa gift.

Reindeer M&M's Tube-Have you ever seen those M&M mini tubes of candy? They currently make holiday versions such as Rudolph. Make your own little Rudolph antlers out of brown pipe cleaner and add to the top of the tube. String small jungle bells to tie around the tube. Attach cute little Merry Christmas messages for a more festive and personalized experience. I got this one year and it was so cute and fun!

Hershey's Mini Sleds-I've seen this one and have always wanted to try it as it's so adorable. It looks complicated, but it is not.  All you need two regular sized candy canes as the base of the sleigh. Make sure the curvy part of the candy canes are facing upward. Stack and glue gun a bunch of Hershey's mini candy bars three across. To make is sturdier, first glue on a full Kit Kat bar. When assembled, tie on some festive Christmas riboon and attach a little Christmas card message in the front. Click here for full details.

These ideas are especially fun to make with the kiddies. Enjoy!
